It's not the People...

A co-worker and I got into a little spat about her tagline the other day but I think I emerged the victor. You see, her tag line in email reads:

“The most important things in your house are…the people.”

To which I replied that she was wrong and she should change her tag line to:

“The most important things in your house are… the empty spaces.”

I think I struck a chord with that reply. Anyway, she challenged my assertion so I gave the following scenario:

“Take a house and put your average number of people inside it. Everyone is having a good time, everyone is getting along. All is well with the world. Now, let’s fill up all the empty space in the house with…say…concrete…you know, WITH the people inside.”

Seriously…how can you argue with that?
