The Nets Edge

FindStr (ships with WindowsXP) is much better than I thought it was. Just a note on it's use for myself:

findstr /p /i /c:"sprint" /s c:\games\bf2Demo\*.* > c:\games\sprint.txt

The above finds the word sprint in all files that don't contain non-printable characters, regardless of case and stores the results in file called sprint.txt in my c:\games directory. The format of the output is:

PathToFile\Filename:LineInFileThatContainsTheWord

A friend of mine at work had this conversation with a buddy of his. The names have been changed to protect the guilty from further humiliation. Be warned...vulgar verbage follows:

Well, it's beginning to look like the new one will share my Birthday. Lynn just got back from the Doctors and they want to schedule us for a c-section on July 25th. I don't see how you can top that birthday present.

Have you gotten Battlefield 2 yet? I've got some information to archive on BF2 modding that I'll add later today.
