So yesterday my wife had Jury duty so I took Calista to a doctors visit and then we went to Carowinds. Honestly, the best time to ever take your child to Carowinds was yesterday. I think maybe less than 1/10 of the parking spots were in use, and most rides had little to no wait. In fact, we rode some of her favorites two and three times non-stop without even getting off. Her list of favorites:

She loves roller coasters. She does not like the near pitch darkness of the Scooby Doo Haunted Mansion.

The last time we were at Carowinds we were going to see if she was tall enough to ride “The Hurler”. It's like a miniature Thunder Road roller coaster. It's not incredibly large, no loops, no spirals, just a medium size coaster.

One look of it and she said she was scared and didn't want to ride it, but we checked out the height requirements anyway. She was still too short (she's about 40 some odd inches). On the way back we walked under the Carolina Cyclone. It has “four consecutive 360 degree loops and a 450 degree uphill helix”. She heard the people scream as they flew over our heads and said “Daddy! I want to ride that” and pointed straight up.

She has about eight more inches to grow into before she can get on those. But she's waiting...
