So, Halo 2 became available today, and from the looks of things people were standing in long lines just to get pre-order copies. Our company store received 2200 copies of it and were letting people buy 2 each per day. They still have plenty in stock. I myself, however, will not indulge in this purchase...eagerly waiting for the other H2 game, Half-Life 2.
I'm still playing GTA:SA which is so overwhelming in content it's not even funny. I'm about 2/3rds completed and if I stop horsing around and stick to the story line missions I'll probably have it finished by 3:00am EST, Tuesday the 16th.
Yes, that's the exact time that Half-Life 2 is supposed to be unleashed to the Masses that have decided NOT to burden themselves with rushing to the nearest GameStop or Best Buy to purchase a box that contains a CD and have instead opted to pre-order the game using steam, VALVe's content delivery system. Apparently, for us, the full game currently sits on our hard-drives right now, just waiting to be unlocked. I guess for many, it will be like getting the keys to the chastity belt of Gamer Geekdom.
